Back to School & Transitioning to Secondary School
Confidence. Self-Esteem. Resilience
Catherine and Jude are passionate about teaching “life skills” to support young people to thrive at school and beyond. Children and young people need to learn about how to manage their feelings and emotions and how to interact with those around them. Something that is even more significant this year to help children to return to school with confidence.
Each person will have a forum to reflect on “lockdown” and schooling so far and focus on starting school well.
To ensure we can give adequate attention and young people feel confident to share we will keep groups small. We will be following strict COVID-19 government guidelines and ensuring a 2-metre distance, hosting groups outside. This will have the added benefit of enhancing young people’s creativity and connection to nature for well-being.
Young people will have the opportunity to work 1:1 and within small groups, through a series of interactive and creative workshops to prepare them for school and teach skills for managing mental well-being into adolescence.
